Scripture: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7
Faith is not simply believing in what we see but trusting in the unseen promises of God. In a world that demands proof and logic, the Christian journey often calls for blind obedience to God’s word, even when circumstances look uncertain. Walking by faith means anchoring our trust not in feelings or facts but in the unchanging nature of God.
Abraham is a powerful example. God told him to leave his country and go to a land He would show him (Genesis 12:1). Abraham didn’t know where he was going, but he went. That’s the essence of walking by faith—stepping into the unknown, fully trusting the One who leads.
Modern believers face challenges that test faith—job loss, illness, waiting on a promise. But God hasn’t changed. He still honors those who walk by faith. Hebrews 11 reminds us that faith is the “substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
When we walk by faith:
- We prioritize God’s voice over opinions.
- We obey even when it’s inconvenient.
- We rest, knowing God’s timing is perfect.
Let this encourage you: even when you don’t see the way, God does. Faith doesn’t require all the answers—just trust in the One who does.
